Old skool black and white!

Hey! so a super casual outfit that I've come to love in so many ways! took the leap from cropped trousers to culottes and I've never looked back their so versatile and comfortable and I love styling them with trainers. A brand I've always loved is vans I couldn't help but purchase the old skool's in the traditional black and white their such a classic shoe is it any wonder everyone and their mum has them.

As for this t-shirt the font was too good not to purchase it reminded me of a thrasher tee and I like how this look is quite skater girl by adding the longer sock combo which makes everything a little bit more interesting. Definitely won't be the last time you see me wearing this look I like to consider it as my casual go to uniform. Just always remember to be yourself and don't be afraid to try something new you never no you might even surprise yourself!

Be more Bowie!

Ive been wanting to write this post for quite some time and I suppose I just needed something to wear to go along with what I want to talk about. The name stitched  across my chest was that very thing that inspired me to do so.

David Bowie was not only a musical genius but a fashion icon and did what no one else did. He pushed boundaries and his clothes were a way of projecting self expression and communicating individuality. Isn't that what clothes are all about self expressing ourselves wearing something because we like it. I feel like nowadays a lot of people rely on other peoples opinions and want almost reassured in making sure that person likes it too. What happened to just buying something because we like it!?

When growing up I used to care so much about what other people thought about what I was wearing to the point of asking myself "oh but what if she doesn't like this and living in fear of someone else's judgement. It wasn't until I reached the age of 16 I started dressing the way I wanted to dress, regardless of what anyone else thought.

Trust me when you stop caring so much you become a much happier person. My style over the years has somewhat stayed the same I still love black but I no one thing that I'm not afraid to try on something new and sometimes I even surprise myself.

Bowie took on numerous style personas such as Ziggy Stardust from wearing skin tight cat suits to embroidered dress coats he wasn't afraid to try something new. He was different. Its good to be different I love seeing people wearing something different weather its a cool combo that is outside the norm, fashion has no rules, make it your own and like Bowie rock it with confidence.

So for anyone reading this next time your in shopping for new clothes or see something you potentially might like  go with your initial instinct be bold, be yourself and don't let anyone tell you otherwise after all your the one wearing the clothes not them. Be anything but boring!

Bowie was an instant star who will shine on forever, so always remember be your own kind of different and be more like Bowie!

A sunny farewell.

Hey! so if the sunglasses and no jacket attire don't give it away, these were taken on a really beautiful day the weather has toke a turn as of lately and its been rather overcast and rainy so I'm glad these were captured on such a day. I wear a lot of black (which I'm sure is clear to see) and sometimes theres nothing more put together than an all black outfit.

I styled this outfit around my newest addition to my Drop Dead collection and its this Farewell graphic vest, it was basically love at first sight with this one! The print is gorgeous and I love the silky material and length which made it perfect to pair with some ripped jeans. These jeans are kinda cropped so my converse were a perfect match.

I can't tell you how much more confident I am believe it or not with shorter hair and I'm so much happier now that I've joined the dark side once again. Just looking at how great if I do say so myself my hair looks in these photos It  just seems to coordinate with my clothes a million times better and I needed this change I think. I really don't no what took me so long to dye it back all I no is that taking the plunge can turn into the best decision I've ever made with my hair. Anyways just though I'd add that in, see ya on the next post.

Summer Grunge!

Hello! Big changes have happened lately as you can probably tell I'm now a brunette!! Also I've now finished college so I'm going to have a lot more free time on my hands which is amazing so look out for some more blog posts very soon.

Last night I went to see my childhood heroes Busted and the weather was incredible so it was the perfect opportunity to debut this gorgeus little playsuit from Alexa Chung's marks and spencer collection (plus some tan is still on my skin from Slam-dunk festival so i couldn't not;) I think theres something so grungy and 90's about it so I had to pair it with a leather jacket and choker. My beloved Jeffrey Campbell Coltranes came out by hiding too so all in all this outfit was very much me.Enjoy and ill see you on the next one.

1980 Mom jeans!!

Hey! Cant believe a whole month has past since I've been on here, lets just say April was a very busy month and priorities had to be set. But I'm back and why not start with a rather spring outfit even though it doesn't feel like it but I recently bought a pair of Mom jeans , yeah I no I'm pretty late to the party but guys I'm obsessed I'm a huge lover of high waisted jeans anyways but these little denim blue numbers are a perfect fit and a great spring piece to get away from all that black.

Another obsession of mine lately is bodys/leotards they can be found just about anywhere this one added a cool vibe with the '1980 print on the front. I paired it with my leather jacket which was made to be worn with mom jeans, my white old skull vans and western styled belt tied the whole look together with such gorgeous detailing. Yep this is surely my favourite go to outfit lately and had to make an effort on my last day of college right! Hope you like and I'll catch ya next time!

Friday 1 April 2016

Hello folks! So the fam and I planned on going on a wee road trip and this is what I planned on wearing but that fell through so rather than have my makeup and outfit go to waste, grabbed the camera and went to my usual spot to shoot some photos. I was definitely challenging my inner pop-punk for this outfit (hence the first photo haha) I threw on this denim vest and the cap came along with it.

To break up all the back a grey festival top did the trick and my stan smiths, come to think of it my Docs would have looks 1974 times better but yet it was very early in the morning so forgive me! The patches and pin I've added to this jacket as I come to collect them which I love about denim jackets and are actually very on trend at the minute. It makes it more personal and yeah I hope to add more. in the near future. I hope you all enjoyed your Easter as mine is slowly coming an end. peace out!

"Florals for spring, ground breaking!"

Spring is finally here! I brought it in with this stunning new piece to my wardrobe a satin embroidered bomber! Bomber jackets are everywhere at the moment weather it be a puffa or a beautiful satin number like this one they can be found just about anywhere. The embellishments set this Zara one apart from all the others I have seen and is perfect for this time of year! the cherry blossom design and how the branches flow with this jacket is why I love it so much.

I paired with this mink pink boyfriend t-shirt tucked into some denim jeans and adds some much needed colour. Ive had this top a while and its a colour that is very much in this year. Some short ankle boots and I finally bought myself a proper belt this western styled one is from asos and real leather and i adore it and really ties the whole look together. Thanks for looking, see ya on the next one.
